Our aptitude testing program consists of two sessions, each about three and a half hours long, and the evaluation conference, which can take one to one and a half hours.
These appointments may be scheduled on consecutive days or spread out over several days or even weeks if you prefer, with no effect on the results. Morning sessions start at 8:30 or 9:00 am and afternoon sessions start at 1:00 or 1:30 pm, depending on the local office.
Our current fee is $850 in all of our offices. We request a $100 deposit to hold appointments.
Our office is in the historic James Oviatt Building in new Downtown, near Pershing Square.
From San Fernando Valley : Travel south on 101 freeway to 110 freeway south. Take the Interstate 110 S exit toward 6th/Wilshire Blvd/4th Street. Follow signs for Wilshire Blvd. Keep left, follow signs for 6th St. Continue on W. 6th Street. Turn right on S. Grand Avenue. Turn left on 7th Street. Turn left onto S. Olive Street. We are on the left side of the street between 6th and 7th Streets.
From Westside: Travel east on 10 freeway to 110 freeway north, exit at 9th Street. Follow 9th Street. Turn left on S. Olive Street. We are on the left side of S. Olive between 6th and 7th Streets.
From Southbay: Travel north on 110 freeway Exit at 9th Street. Follow 9th Street. Turn left on S. Olive Street. We are on the left side of S. Olive between 6th and 7th Streets.
From San Gabriel Valley: Travel west on the 10 freeway to 110 freeway north. Exit at 9th Street. Follow 9th Street. Turn left on S. Olive Street. We are on the left side of S. Olive between 6th and 7th Streets.
The Metro Rail runs from Union Station in downtown to the office vicinity. Take the RED LINE toward North Hollywood or Wilshire/Western and exit at the Pershing Square Station. The BLUE LINE runs to the 7th Street/Metro Station from Long Beach. Take the the exit towards 7th & Flower Streets and head southeast on 7th Street toward S. Hope Street. Walk three blocks. Turn left onto S. Olive Street.
The Oviatt Building does not have a parking garage. There is underground parking at Pershing Square and a Joe’s Parking lot across from the office on S. Olive, as well as several lots and structures within a few blocks of the building. You can find more parking options here. the going rate (flat rate for the day) for parking downtown is about $15-$20. You may need cash for some of the lots.
The James Oviatt Building is one of the most well-preserved examples of Art Deco architecture in downtown Los Angeles. Our building is very secure with a security guard in the lobby and key-card activated elevators. We are steps away from historic Pershing Square which has a weekly Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays. We are a 10-minute walk from Grand Central Market and a 15-minute walk from The Broad Museum, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and The Museum of Contemporary Art. There is shopping (Macy’s, Uniqlo, Target, Zara, Sephora) a few blocks away at The Bloc and Fig & 7th, or visit The Last Bookstore. Nearby lunch options include Tender Greens, Veggie Grill, Starbucks, Chipotle, Pitchoun, and Whole Foods.
Any number of downtown hotels are convenient to our office, especially with the Metro connection. The hotels below are within walking range of our location.
