Directions / Parking
We are located on the corner of Grant and Geary, one block east of Union Square and one block from Market Street. By BART or Muni, Montgomery Station: walk west along Market one block and bear right on Geary one block; the building entrance is just before Grant Avenue.
By CALTRAIN, take either the N-Judah Muni streetcar to Montgomery (see above) or the bus (30-Stockton or 45-Union/Stockton) to the corner of Kearny/Post. Walk one block south to Geary. From SFO airport take BART to Montgomery (see above).
By car from East Bay: Exit after the Bay Bridge at Fifth Street, turn right, proceed on Fifth to Mission and turn right and right again into the Mission garage.
From the peninsula: Take 280 either all the way or from the connection near Candlestick off 101 to the end, at King Street with a left onto Third Street. Follow Third until it crosses Market where you take a left onto Geary. The garage under Union Square is one block west of our office.
From the North Bay: From the Golden Gate Bridge, follow 101 to Van Ness, turn left on Bush Street, drive past the cable car tracks (on Powell) to Sutter/Stockton garage entrance just past Stockton.

If you are considering taking public transit, you can explore your options by using the public transit planner at www.511.org. If you choose to drive, 511.org can also estimate driving time and provide traffic info. Parking garage rates in the area range from $11 to $16 for five hours.
Hotels
These hotels, a small selection from the many in the Union Square area, are all within walking distance of the Johnson O'Connor Research Foundation office.
In the neighborhood
All of the major retail shops and department stores are within a block or two; numerous art galleries, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Cartoon Art Museum are close by; financial district services are near as well. Fisherman's Wharf can be reached by cable car or streetcar. Many restaurants of all types are in the immediate vicinity or a short ride away.
